How to merge old language file .sil with the new one of XLS Padlock 2024

Hello everybody,

I have my italian translation of language file .sil in xls padlock 2023.
The new version 2024 of .sil file has new strings.
Is it possible to merge the old file in the new file to avoid translating it again string by string?

You can use some text compare tool such as Beyond Compare to find out the new strings used in version 2024 and merge changes. That’s what we did for our own translations.
BTW, to help you for your translations, there is a visual editor available for .SIL language files used in XLS Padlock. You can download it here:
