Facility to block keys Shift Alt Cntrl and F keys

Hi

Happy with your software but there is another concern for me -is there some sort of security to prevent Keystrokes like Alt F8 Alt F11 and a VERY dangerous Shift key -is this prevented in the software ? I know it can be done with VBA but just want to double confirm the software can block access to the keys.

Thank you

XLS Padlock disables some keystrokes but not all. For instance, ALT+F8 works because some customers want to run Macros manually. As long as you disable access to VBE, there is no problem with that.

If you DONT deny shift access your software have a MAJOR security flaw please do that urgently with an urgent release. I have discovered this -if you dont deny access to the shift key a hacker can simply bypass the worsheet open event …please urgently add that as its a MAJOR security flaw -a hacker can bypass those events by SIMPLY holding down the shift key.

Why is it a problem with the SHIFT key? It doesn’t prevent XLS Padlock from applying its protection features nor opening the secure workbook. Did you find something to extract the secure workbook?

Lots of your customers make use of the worksheet open event in their workbooks. A Hacker can simply hold down the shift key and it will bypass those events and bypass code in the worksheet open event - I would strongly recommend to disable Cntr and Shift keys in your software urgently -its a known security bug in excell and not allot of people know of it. I am just helping you to prevent hackers bypassing user settings -I dont know if your software prevent keystrokes but please look into it as this is a known flaw in Excel which savvy users can exploit -See below
