Accessing another Secure Workbook

Have existing secure save Workbook A in padlocked application. Workbook A uses VBA to open Workbook B (using PLOpenSaveFile) which creates another instance of the application. This does not seem to provide a handle to the new application (and Workbook B) and allow access from Workbook A.

I looked at topic on how “Create another Excel Instance and access secure workbook files” . Unless I am missing something, i can only get this to work with standard excel files, ie you cannot open a secure file.

Is there any way or techniques to have Workbook A access information from Workbook B?

Is the workbook B protected with XLS Padlock too or just a normal workbook file?

Yes. Both Workbook A & B are protected.
