Application master keys

Hi, I just installed 3 workbooks on two different computers with USB dongle protection. The installation and activation went ok, but when I open any of the workbooks excel opens but with a black empty window.
I am wondering if I may have done something that has caused this to happen?
Because I have installed them all before on these PC’s but found some issues so deleted them. I then fixed the issues with the workbooks then went through the whole compile etc, process again and re-installed them on the 2 PC’s a couple of months later. So this is what I am wondering if could be the problem, when I compiled them the second time I used the initial “Application master keys”, as I had recorded them previously. How I did this was in the “Do you want to use activation keys” window I copied and pasted the previous keys used rather than using the key generator button to generate new ones. Would this have caused the problem I have?

Which XLS Padlock version are you using to build your workbook files? Because there is no specific reason related to the master key for getting a black empty window.

Not sure? However, it seems to be something to do with the users’ computers.
I have installed and activated it on two of my computers without any problem. Using the exact same files usb drives and master keys. I have been back and done a complete delete and re-install, but nothing changed still excel opens with a black window, when it should be showing a spreadsheet. I installed a previous version there and it worked ok.

I was using 2024.1 but updated yesterday to 2024.3 and have re-compiled the installation files and will be re-installing them today. hoping that fixes it. Another IT guy said it could be to do with the Windows 11 24H2 update.

Yes, the Windows 11 24H2 update can be responsible for that. But the good news is that XLS Padlock 2024.3 is fully compatible with it.

I successfully re-installed and activated the work books today and even made some save files. But next time trying to open them they are deactivated.
What the hell is happening? They all had a 1 year expiration as the only limitation.
Something I haven’t mentioned before is I am using generic usb drives as dongles. I am also using hardware locking.
I should also mention that I am using each usb dongle for 3 separate workbooks and their individual activations.
Wondering if there is conflict of some sort due to using both hardware locking and usb dongles perhaps? And is this even necessary?
Another thing I need clarity on is the “Application Title”, see attached.

I have the same application title for each of the 3 different workbooks whose file names are different. Will this cause any conflict? I am under the impression that it won’t.
