Empty sub-folders are skipped by file manager

Hi there, It’s great to finally be have v2 to start experimenting with! It’s looking good so far… One issue I’ve noticed is that it appears that empty sub-folders are skipped when you add your project to the file manager. We have an application that requires certain folders to be present and...

Please can you give me temporary access to the original topic so I can copy/paste my question (or copy/paste it for me). – Mark

Where have the posts relating to the beta gone?

I posted a question in the beta channel, but it seems to have vanished! https://www.gdgsoft.info/t/empty-directories-not-included-in-file-list/2321 I don’t know if it was answered (if so I’d like to see the answer, please!) or not (in which case, I would hope an answer can be given) as I no...

ExeOutput 2 Beta 2 is ready for Beta testers - 01/29/16

Is that as well as or instead of PHP 5.x? If it’s instead of, it pretty much kills the project for me, as PHP7 support is a long way off for our code-base.

    ExeOutput 2 is coming (finally)

*sigh* One and a half years later, it’s still “a matter of weeks”. I won’t be holding my breath. http://www.gdgsoft.info/t/exeoutput-2-0-a-matter-of-weeks?source_topic_id=1223

    ExeOutput 2 is coming (finally)

You were the one who made the comparison with DOS. I could have picked any number of more appropriate examples, but I was responding to your specific example. You’re entitled to your opinion, and the developers are entitled to do what they want with their software. I’m not even saying it will...

    ExeOutput 2 is coming (finally)

If Windows 95 had broken compatibility with DOS, then it would have been a complete commercial failure. The reason it was the success it was was down to a lot of effort by Microsoft to minimise BC-breakages as much as possible (e.g. see...

    ExeOutput 2.0 - A matter of weeks?

OK. Thanks for the info. A v3 feature, perhaps 😉?

    ExeOutput 2.0 - A matter of weeks?

Out of interest, how integral is the PHP version to the software? It would be great if you could easily swap PHP versions for different projects. Is that something feasible, or is the ExeOutput code linked too tightly to a specific PHP runtime? For example, I would like to build some of my...

    ExeOutput 2.0 - A matter of weeks?

Any news on when v2 might be out? In May 2014, it was ‘a matter of weeks’ [1] In December 2014, it was ‘a matter of weeks’ [2] It’s now March 2015, and we have been looking forward to it for a long time. Is there anything more specific you can give us than ‘a matter of weeks’?

Issues with minor variations to include_once() / require_once() paths

Any news on v2.0? It’s been somewhat more than a matter of weeks, by now! Do you have an ETA? Cheers, – HappyDog

include_path seems to be ignored when including PHP files

Hi there, The issue is in our framework, so not easy to post the code (would require sending the whole framework). I will see if I can create a small test-case instead. Will let you know how I get on. The paths are being set as per my original post (using ini_set()) and are returned...

include_path seems to be ignored when including PHP files

…or do you mean do I set in in the php.ini that goes into the project. In which case, no. Is that necessary? Does ini_set() not work in ExeOutput? – HappyDog

include_path seems to be ignored when including PHP files

Yes - the project sets the include_path (or rather, adds to it) using ini_set(). The change seems to have an effect as the right thing is returned by ini_get() afterwards, so it seems like the setting is being set correctly. – HappyDog

include_path seems to be ignored when including PHP files

Hi there, Further to my previous comment, I’m also finding an issue with the use of the include_path variable in the include_once() function. I don’t think this is directly related to the other issue I reported, but perhaps it is. The problem I am having is that I am getting the following...
